A note from Noel, the Christmas Tree Elf….
Chris and I, along with all the elves, have been busy, busy, busy getting things ready for Opening Weekend on Saturday, November 23rd! The trees are ready to be harvested, and Santa and Mrs. Claus are looking forward to hearing about your Christmas wishes. Oh! And, there’s a new arrival at Tom Sawyer’s Tree Farm!
Tom has a new Scottie puppy named Maggie. Her favorite games are “Fetch the Burlap Ornaments,” and “Chase the Elves!”
She’s still a puppy (only 9 weeks old) with lots of energy, so everybody laughs when she plays her games, except for ‘Flippy.’ He’s the old-timer of dogs around here and calls Maggie the Scottish Terror. But he’s very patient and is starting to teach her the ropes about working on the farm. We love our new friend and know you will, too. You can see more pictures of Maggie in her red snowflake outfit on the Tree Farm’s Facebook page.
If you have a friendly dog or two at home who would like to meet Maggie, bring them along on a leash when you visit the Elf Village or Choose & Cut your tree.
Our craft cottage is ready for children to come and play Scavenger Hunt, decorate ornaments, warm up with cocoa, and visit Santa on the weekends. And, don’t forget to take pictures! We’d love for you to share them on our Facebook page. Maybe you’ll even get Maggie to sit still for a photo!
